KAINA means “that fabric” in Sunda language. A simple word which is often said in our workshop. Another meaning apparent coincidentally is “female leader” in Arabic.
Every handcrafted products made with love and has philosophy in Sunda culture.
KAINA is a home-based industry in Bandung since 2016 filled with dedicated people those who believe it can help provide a better life for their families.

We are dedicated to provide economic benefits to the community and environmentally friendly as well. We believe that empowering women within our local community is key to realizing our vision and mission of making a meaningful contribution to society and the environment around us
Use of Natural and Recyclable Materials:
The materials used are denim and canvas fabric which is a natural and recyclable material. The inner lining fabric is Cordura, which is water-resistant and durable for long-term use. Most of the denim is sourced from waste generated by jeans manufacturing in Bandung and combined with new canvas fabric.
Production Process:
From start to finish, each process through strict quality control for resulting in high-quality handcrafted products.
This patchwork crafting technique supports the Zero Waste concept, aiming to minimize fabric waste as much as possible.
